Summer Camp 2009: Boomaking For Events
Part of a series of posts about the professional-development workshops in our Summer Camp 2009.
Whenever you’ve got a large group—during rainy-day recess, PTA meetings, family literacy or math nights—bookmaking is a natural. Based on Susie’s experience with dozens of bookmaking events each year, this workshop presents kid-pleasers like dragon books, house-shaped books, whale-tail pop-ups, necklace books, accordions in funky boxes, and many others, as well as projects for such theme events as Talk Like a Pirate Day and others. Suitable for teachers, librarians and parents working with all grades.
This workshop takes place on Tuesday June 23rd, from 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., in Meeting Room B at the Redwood Shores Public Library. Click here and scroll down to read about instructor Susie Peyton.
