Summer Camp 2009: Books for Budding Scientists
Part of a series of posts about the professional-development workshops in our Summer Camp 2009.
Taking our cues from the fabulous interpretive center right inside the Redwood Shores Library (and from the Belmont Slough outside its back door), we’ll create a variety of books that kids can make and use as they learn about the world of nature. These include a field guide, a panorama book showcasing the slough, an animal autobiography, a guessing-game book and more. All the books are easy to adapt to other science topics. Suggested for teachers of Grades 2 & up.
This workshop takes place on Thursday June 25th, from 1:30–5:30 p.m., in Meeting Room A at the Redwood Shores Public Library. You can read about instructor Cathy Miranker by clicking here.
